COMING SOON 2018 ...

the next industrial revolution

WE ARE ALL MAKERS AND INVENTORS AT THE VERY CORE OF OUR BEING.

where did the dream factory idea come from?

Our Co-founder Han, also the CEO of THE BIM FACTORY, is a serial maker and a dreamer of creating anything cool. Having been a part of the team at the MIT Media Lab during his time in school at MIT in 2004 as part of a course called "How to make (almost) anything", which he was fortunate to have the opportunity to be at the place which infectiously encourages creativity and inventions. It was this course that spawned Fablabs all over the world through the vision of the class' Professor Neil Gershenfeld of the Center for Bits and Atoms.

Ever since then, Han has always envisioned of creating a place similar to the Media Lab that encourages and give opportunities for anyone who has a vision and ideas of creating something amazing.

Collaborating with our other divisions THE BIM FACTORYTHE FAB FACTORY, and THE CONCRETE FACTORY Han is determined to build an environment not only for him to develop and create prototypes for his automated fabrication technology, but also with the hope to encourage everyone to join his effort.

our current activity

THE BIM FACTORY has teamed up with the folks at Fablab Saigon to open a makerspace in Thao Dien using THE BIM FACTORY's conference room. We call this new space Fablab Thao Dien. We believe that encouraging and providing the platform for makers to create whatever they want is very important to the continuous evolution of inventors. Therefore, as part of our community outreach, we are happy to share our office with the makers community and we look forward to sharing many fun and creative workshops, training courses and many other make activities together.

For more information about the events at our Fablab Thao Dien space, please visit the facebook page or visit our website at www.fablabthaodien.org

Unfortunately, our old factory that used to be our office has since been demolished by a local developer. However, the dream of creating an environment that encourages innovations lives on in our dream factory.
